After sending the orders to your Android mobile, it is possible to obtain their status and changes in real time. With this active status updates option, you can view the status of each order, via colored dots. Each dot color corresponds to a different order status. Those dots are visible at the stops on each tour. (Fig. 1.114.) The colors correspond to the following status:
Blue: Scheduled
Yellow: Started
Green: Finished
Red: Rejected
Gray: Suspended
It is possible to activate the stops according to their status. The filters are proposed according to the statuses reported by Mapotempo Live. By default, “Suspended” status is missing from the list. For example, you can filter the stops with Rejected status. Only stops with that dot will then be active. However, stops with another status will be disabled. In other words, these stops will be unchecked and not taken into account in the tour. Via this option, it is possible to modify the assignment of stops on each vehicle in real time and to restart an optimization. If a vehicle A is available at the end of the tour, it is possible to assign the unscheduled stop of another vehicle B to it.
Click on a specific mission, then on “Start” to suspend the initial instruction and start this new mission.
Click on an in-progress order; you can suspend / resume / cancel this mission via options
You have TomTom GPS devices or tablets to guide your people and a Mapotempo account to plan your routes. Mapotempo and TomTom Webfleet can be interfaced in order to simplify your activity, particularly through one-click export of your routes to your GPS devices. This help will guide you through setting up this connection.
Fig. 1.249 Interface between the application and TomTom Webfleet.
Four steps are needed to allow Mapotempo-TomTom interface and one-click export of your optimized routes to your TomTom devices:
Create a new TomTom Webfleet user dedicated to your scheduler.
The scheduler receives an account creation and confirmation email.
The scheduler connects Mapotempo and their new Webfleet account.
The scheduler exports their routes from Mapotempo to the targeted GPS devices.
TomTom hardware and the Webfleet platform impose some technical limitations:
A destination is limited to 500 characters: This includes all information such as name, reference, coordinates, quantity, time etc.
The firmware of Pro terminals is limited to 150 destinations per route.
Log in to your Tomtom WebFleet account with your administrator credentials Fig. 1.250.
In order to interface Mapotempo, you must create a new dedicated user. Click the “More” tab, then “Users”, and “New” to create a new user Fig. 1.251.
Your scheduler requires the “Expert” profile in order to be able to edit certain information. Fill in your scheduler’s identifiers and email; click on «Save» Fig. 1.252.
Your scheduler’s profile must then be set up.
Via “Advanced Settings” in the “External” tab, check “Access to the Webfleet.connect interface” then “ok” to confirm Fig. 1.253.
A confirmation email is sent to your scheduler’s mailbox Fig. 1.254.
The new user is visible in your user list and waiting for confirmation by email Fig. 1.255.
You can log out of your Webfleet admin account.
On receipt of the confirmation email, follow the instructions given Fig. 1.256.
Log in to Webfleet with new scheduler credentials Fig. 1.257.
Choose a permanent password. The account is confirmed by this affirmation of password and will have access to the vehicles of his group Fig. 1.258.
Then log in to https://app.mapotempo.com with your credentials Fig. 1.259.
Go to Global Settings> TomTom WEBFLEET. Fill in the new WebFleet IDs and your password, click on “Synchronize”, then “Save”. TomTom WebFleet information is imported and now available on the application. Fig. 1.260.
Because of the synchronization, your GPS device number 1 in Webfleet is attached to vehicle 1 in the web application, and so on. The assignment of the GPS can be adjusted if necessary in the page specific to each vehicle Fig. 1.261.
On Mapotempo, in “Plans”, access a plan. To the right, in the control panel, an export icon is visible:
to export all your routes
to export each route individually Fig. 1.262.
Click the export icon, then click “Send to TomTom as orders” to export your routes to your TomTom GPS device. Fig. 1.263.
Your orders are transmitted via TomTom Webfleet to your TomTom GPS devices. You can view these orders in “Orders” or on each of your vehicles. All the orders, the date, the time of sending, and the associated vehicle are visible. Your worker on the ground has the same controls on their TomTom GPS device. Fig. 1.264.
After sending the orders to a TomTom GPS device, it is possible to obtain their status and updates in real time. Each action performed on the GPS devices will be reflected directly on the route(s) in the plan. With this option of active status feedback, you can view the status of each order via colored dots. Each colored dot corresponds to a different order status. These colors are visible at the points of each route. Fig. 1.265.
The colors correspond to the following status:
Blue: Scheduled
Yellow: Started
Green: Finished
Red: Rejected
Gray: Suspended
It is possible to activate the stops according to their status Fig. 1.266.
Filters are available according to the status fed back by TomTom GPS devices. By default, the “Suspended” status is absent from the list.
For example, you can filter stops with rejected status. Only stops with the dot will be activated. On the other hand, stops with a different status will be deactivated. In other words, these stops will be unchecked and not taken into account in the route.
Via this option, it is therefore possible to modify the assignment of points on each vehicle in real time and restart optimization. If a vehicle A is available at the end of the route, it is possible to assign an unscheduled stop from another vehicle B to it.
The following two sections are intended for staff on routes. After reading, you will be able to see your mission orders on your TomTom GPS device and navigate to your GPS-assisted destinations.
